Thank you for contacting the Domestic Violence Legal Empowerment and Appeals Project (DV LEAP) for help with an appeal.
DV LEAP provides legal representation only in appeals of final orders. DV LEAP also provides limited resources for survivors of domestic violence who are not seeking to appeal a final order.
Please complete the intake form that best matches your needs to the best of your ability and knowledge. There are a lot of questions, including about information that you may feel is personal or private. Please know we are only asking for information we need to provide services, and all of your information will be kept confidential. After you submit your application, DV LEAP will follow up by email about whether we can provide further assistance. While we are reviewing your case, DV LEAP is not your lawyer and cannot give you advice about what to do in your case. Until and unless DV LEAP agrees to represent you, we cannot help you fill out forms, file paperwork to appeal your case, or follow any deadlines in your case.
DV LEAP services are equally available to everyone regardless of race, color, creed, gender (including gender identity and gender expression), religion, marital status, registered domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, immigration status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sex, genetic information, sexual orientation, and military and veteran status.
DV LEAP uses a third-party vendor to store client information electronically. While DV LEAP has taken reasonable steps within its control to ensure the security of its electronic files maintained by the vendor, DV LEAP cannot guarantee the security of the vendor's servers. By completing this intake form, you consent to the information you provide being stored on a third-party vendor's servers.
